  Report 'European requirements for cadastral surveyor activities' published. A joint working group consisting of members from EuroGeographics, the European Council of Geodetic Surveyors and Geometer Europas, has issued their report. The report provides an overview on conditions and common characteristics which are relevant for cadastral surveying activities in the EU. Click here for the report.  
 
 
  New land registry working group established On the 12th June EuroGeographics established the land registry working group chaired by Wim Louwman, chief registrar of the Dutch Cadastre and Land Registry Agency, which will focus on land registry related topics in general and hidden titles and charges in particular. The group consists of experts from several of our members and the European Land Registry Association (ELRA).  
 
 
 

Interprojects meeting was held 10th - 12th June and for the first time brought together Product, Project, Expert Group Chairs and Permanent Correspondents. Presentations from the event and agreed actions are available here.

 
 
 
 

INSPIRE A one-day workshop to support the development of the INSPIRE specification for cadastral parcels took place on Tuesday 3rd June 2008

The Thematic Working Group (TWG) on the cadastral parcel, facilitated by Dominique Laurent (IGN, France), provided the opportunity for others to contribute their experience to this work. Presentations can be found here

 
 
 
 

EuroGeographics EU - coordination group met on the 4th June 2008

The main objectives of this meeting were to:

  • Review the status of the INSPIRE Implementation Rules and Expert Group succession;
  • Get an update on the ESDIN (eContentplus) project;
  • Discuss the progress  on and contribution to GMES;
  • Be updated on the status of the review of the PSI-directive and its follow up;
  • Review the EG-activities regarding cross border mortgage in the EU;
  • Inform each other of running European initiatives and workshops.
 
 
 
 

INSPIRE - Webseminar on Monitoring and Reporting draft Implementing Rules  

EuroGeographics held  it's first webseminar on the draft Implementing Rules for Monitoring and Reporting on the 18th April 2008. Ms. Marie-Louise Zambon, Chair of the Drafting Team, explained the content of the draft and answered questions. 13 participants from 8 countries participated at this seminar.

Report on information resource available on our website

A working group of EuroGeographics’ Cadastre and Land Registry Group performed a survey in order to gather relevant information that can be used to monitor and improve the business of national mapping, cadastre and land registry agencies. As a framework the vision statement ‘Cadastre and land registration in Europe 2012’ was used. The report, its annexes and the completed questionnaire, can be found here.

White Paper on Mortgage Credit in the EU published

In order to improve efficiency and competitiveness of EU mortgage markets, the EU Commission has published a White Paper. This Paper defines the policy programme for the Commission for the upcoming years. Objectives and measures regarding property valuation and land registration are described.
