The eContentplus programme aims to support the development of multi-lingual content
for innovative, on-line services across the EU for the period
2005-2008 that will make digital content in Europe more accessible,
usable and exploitable. The total budget
for the programme (2005 - 8) is 149 million Euros.
eContentplus
will tackle the fragmentation of the European digital content
market and will improve the accessibility and usability of
geographical information, cultural content and educational
material. Our EuroGeoNames project is funded by the eContentPlus programme. Previous successful eContent projects include: EuroGlobalMap, EuroRegionalMap and EuroRoadS. Several of our members were also part of the eContent funded EULIS Consortium.
