Emergency Mapping KEN

The first meeting organised by the EuroGeographics Emergency Mapping KEN (EmKEN), held on 4-5 October 2012 in the premises of Head Office in Brussels welcomed many members and representatives of the European Environment Agency, the Joint Reserach Centre of the European Commission, ITHACA, the GMES Initial Operations Emerrgency Management Service provider and the GMES Bureau.

The participants discussed the topics and issues of providing the reference data for the needs  of the GMES Emergency mapping Service, agreed on the next steps in form of a common action plan. More information and the presentations will be available soon on the EmKEN web page.
