Fixed Term Appointment 12 months with possible extension.

 

 EuroGeographics is a membership Association made up of the National Mapping, Land Registry and Cadastral Agencies from across Europe. EuroGeographics’ mission is to further the development of the European Spatial Data Infrastructure through collaboration in the area of geographical information, including topographic information, cadastre and land information.

 
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self motivated individual who would like to gain experience of working for a dynamic European organisation and be part a vibrant network of national member organisations.
 
The purpose of the role is to provide support to the EuroGeographics Representation Manager and the Executive Director by tracking and researching the European economic, social and technological environment to gain an understanding of threats and opportunities for EuroGeographics and its members.
 
The main responsibilities of the role include:
 
  • Tracking monitoring and evaluating the European Legislative environment
  • Supporting the EuroGeographics Policy Knowledge Network
  • Providing policy briefings, compiling reports and drafting consultation responses for the European Representation Manager and Executive Director
  • Supporting the European Representation Manager and Executive Director in active Engagement
  • Providing executive support for the European Representation Manager and Executive Director, creating presentations, writing papers and accompanying them as required to meetings
 
The post will be based at EuroGeographics Head Office in the capital of Europe, Brussels.
Salary will be based on experience and knowledge.
