1st Serbian Geodetic Congress

The First Serbian Geodetic Congress held on December 1 - 3 in Belgrade, Serbia was organized in celebration of an important anniversary “175 years of geodetic profession in Serbia 1837 – 2012” and to mark the successfully completed “Real Estate Cadastre and Registration Project in the Republic of Serbia”.'The very well organized event, hosted by Republic Geodetic Authority attended about 500 participants from 27 countries.     The Congress was officially opened by the Minister of Environment, Mining and Spatial Planning, Mr Oliver Dulic.

Director of the World Bank office in Serbia Loup Brefort,  and Executive Director of EuroGeographics Dave Lovell had also greeted the attendees.

It was a pleasure to attend this event, listen to great achievements of the Republic Geodetic Authority, to lots of top level presentations, meet colleagues from so many countries and discuss the current issues and troubles of surveyors accross the world.
