GSDI 11 Friday's Plenary and Parallel sessions

GSDI 11 conference Friday's Plenary session "Corporate Sector Visions and Perspectives: Building Bridges to Stimulate Participation", chaired by Dave Lovell, EuroGeographics Director Executive and Rob van de Velde, Director of Geonovum focused on the return on Investments for end users, governments, industry and the next generation: organizational, financial and economic SDI-opportunities were considered. The VIP speaker of Eurogeographics, Mr. Dan Paull Chief Executive Officer of PSMA Australia introduced the very impressive presentation: ‘Collaborating to deliver capability across governments’.[1MB].

                                          

EuroGeographics projects and activities has been presented at several parallel sessions:
Parallel session 4.9 Data standards for Global Map opened the discussion with the secretary general of the International Steering Committee for Global Mapping (ISCGM), Mr.Yoshikazu Fukushima about the Global Map Specification and connection to the ESDIN project. Presentations available.

Parallel session 5.7 Emerging Challenges and Approaches'State Boundaries of Europe’, project presented by Pierrette Fraise from the Administration of the Cadastre, Registry and Domains of Belgium and ‘Hard Lesson on Implementing Interoperability in Europe’ presented by Antti Jakobsson, EuroGeographics Programme Manager.

Parallel session 6.8. INSPIRE Projects: EuroGeoNames as a Prototype Implementation for an INSPIRE Service has been presented by Pier-Giorgio Zacchedu from BKG - Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy in Germany and ESDIN project in 'INSPIRE – Putting theory into practice' has been introduced by Jorgen Hartnor from Lantmateriet - Swedish Mapping, Cadastral and Land registration Authority.
