EuroGeographics as host in European Parliament

EuroGeographics hosted an event in European Parliament on 16th November 2011 in Strasbourg, France.

Members of European Parliament and representatives from companies such as RIM and British Telecom were among those attending the event, sponsored by EuroGeographics which was part of the British Chamber of Commerce in Belgium’s annual visit to the European Parliament.

EuroGeographics President Mrs. Ingrid Vanden Berghe opened the event and stressed “To support the Europe 2020 strategy for smart, sustainable growth, EuroGeographics members’ are currently working to develop the European Location Framework which will link data to a common, maintained location framework of definitive, reliable public sector reference data to realise a host of benefits for a wide range of users.”  Find more information about the event in the press release.
